10 June update – Australian swine flu cases

10 06 2009

The 6pm update is just out. Total cases in Australia are at 1260, up by 36.

Victoria has not reported any new cases again today – their official figure remains at 1011. There is a footnote to the Federal Gov’t’s report today. It says:

As part of the change of Phase in Victoria to MODIFIED SUSTAIN, clinicians there have been asked to prioritise clinical testing for H1N1influenza 09 testing for people who are at risk of severe complications following infection. This may lead to a reduction in the proportion of H1N1 cases that are reported as confirmed from Victoria.
