We had 805 new cases in the last 24 hours (to 12 noon today). Again, the largest daily increase in new cases, in a week of broken records.
I’ve added a 7 day moving average graph to the “Australian Graphs” page above. This graph (which I’ve also put below) shows the average daily new cases for the previous 7 days. I think this is a good way of looking at the trends of the virus – the 7 day range takes in a weekend and effectively smooths out quite a bit of noise.
This graph makes interesting reading. As you can see, about two weeks ago we were averaging about 200 new cases a day. Now we are averaging 550 new cases a day. As Winter starts to bite, the cases are really starting to increase.
